Our MISSION is to provide a Catholic environment for Recreation, Reflection & Retreat.
Individuals; young adults, Families & Parish Ministries are invited to use our facilities.
Our mission is dedicated to Our Lady; Stella Maris (Star of the Sea).
We are located north of Toronto, ON; 30 minutes from the 401 between the 404 & the 400, near Newmarket.
Stella Maris is a serene & scenic 6 acre property with over 1000' of waterfront, on the Holland River.
We also have 75 acres nearby, that we hope to develop some day, God willing, as a Catholic community centre.
We invite you to experience our 'little way' of Faith, Fun & Fellowship OR organize your own Catholic event here.
YEAR-ROUND: retreats, socials, movies, plays, rosary & sing-along.
SUMMER: picnics, reunions, volleyball, soccer, fishing, boating & campfires.
WINTER: skating, ice fishing, X-country skiing & snowshoeing on the lagoon & river.
NOTE: Our place is in a very natural setting & controlled more by the weather than by us; sunny days could be
very enjoyable, while rainy / dull days, undesirable. So choose your visit/s as per 'local (Holland Landing) weather
forecasts'.
Floating bunks & tents are available to accommodate our members & parish ministries.
Motivated by our Holy Father's call to 'Solidarity' to proclaim the Culture of Life',
we invite the faithful to Pray for, Participate in and Promote our mission.

Our Holy Father at the World Meeting of Families in Mexico on Jan 18, 2009 reiterated the following, that "families
must mobilize themselves to promote a culture 'of life and build' the Kingdom of God".
The family, he concluded, is called "to evangelize and be evangelized."
"The future of society depends on the strong, authentic witness of Catholic families" said the Supreme Knight, Carl

Hence our mission is to provide and promote a place for faithful Catholic families to be able to come together in
Solidarity (unity & commitment) with other families, so as to bring about formation, strategy & change in our society.
